 1.Dr.R.Vijayendra, Professor & HOD, department of Periodontics was invited as Guest Speaker for Sri Sathya Sai International Dental Conference “Perio-Systemic Link” held on 17^th & 18^th January 2009 at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Puttaparthi, A.P

 

2.Dr.Girish S Rao, Professor& HOD, department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has presented paper  at 8^th Chinese National Conference on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery  held at Shanghai, from 24^th to 27^th May 2009. 

 

3.Dr.Karthik Venkataraghavan, Associate Professor of Pedodontia presented paper at 22^nd Annual Congress of the IAPD, Munich, Germany held from 17 – 20 June 2009. 

 

4.Dr.Asha R Iyengar, Professor of  Oral Medicine & Radiology  presented paper titled “Panoramic Image – A Possible Diagnostic Indicator of Osteoporosis in Post Menopausal Woman”   at  the 17^th International Congress of Dento Maxillofacial Radiology Amsterdam 2009, The Netherlands  held from 28 June  –  02 July 2009. 

 

5.Dr.Akshai Shetty, Associate Professor of Orthodontia presented  paper  titled “Association of MSX1799G-T and TGF beta3 Gene Variant with non-syndromal Cleft Lip / Palate in South Indian Population”   at 11^th International Congress on Cleft Lip and Palate and related Craniofacial Anomalies held in Fartaleza, Brazil from September 10^th to 13^th 2009.

 
6.Dr.Suma S, Lecturer, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, presented Scientific paper titled “ Oral Manifestations of Systemic diseases” at the International Conference “World Congress”  on Holistic Medicine – Holicon 2009 from 11 – 13^th September 2009 at Pondicherry.

 
7.Dr.Shyamala K, Lecturer, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, presented Scientific paper titled “Risk of tumor cell seeding through biopsy and aspiration cytology – A technical analysis”  at the International Conference “World Congress”  on Holistic Medicine – Holicon 2009 from 11 – 13^th September 2009 at Pondicherry and won Best Oral Presentation award.

 

8.Dr.Sarita Yanduri, Lecturer, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, presented Scientific paper titled “ Burning Mouth Syndrome – An Overview” at the International Conference “World Congress”  on Holistic Medicine – Holicon 2009 from 11 – 13^th September 2009 at Pondicherry

 
9.Dr.K.Shashikala, Professor and HOD, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Dr. B.S.Keshava Prasad, Professor of the department, have published a Case Report titled “Restoration of badly broken, endodontically treated posterior teeth” in the Journal of  Conservative Dentistry, an official publication of Federation of Operative Dentistry of India, an indexed Journal by Medknow Publications in July-Sept. 2009, Vol-12, Issue3, p 123-128.

 

10.Dr.J.Sridevi, Professor, Dept. of Prosthodontics presented a paper titled “LEARNING FROM FAILURES” in the 37^th Indian Prosthodontic Society Conference held at Thrissur, Kerala

 

11.Dr.P.Roshan Kumar, Lecturer, dept. of Prosthodontics presented a paper titled “FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF STRESS DISTRIBUTION AROUND PARALLEL AND NON PARALLEL DENTAL IMPLANTS”  in the 37^th Indian Prosthodontic Society Conference held at Thrissur, Kerala

 

12.Dr.N.Sapna, Lecturer, dept. of Periodontics, presented paper titled “Evaluation of Hyaluronan gel as a topical applicant in the treatment of gingivitis based on clinical parameters histologic and AgNOR staining” in the 34^th National conference of Indian Society of Periodontology held on 4^th & 5^th December 2009 at Dharwad.

13.Dr.Divya Bhat, Lecturer, dept. of Periodontics, presented paper titled “A study to estimate and compare Salivary Nitric Oxide levels in Healthy, gingivitis and periodontitis subjects” in the 34^th National conference of Indian Society of Periodontology held on 4^th & 5^th December 2009 at Dharwad.

 

14.Dr.A.G.Harikiran, Professor, dept. of Community Dentistry, attended meeting Commonwealth  Professional Scholarship Outcomes in 2008.  Now the college has signed MOU with Dental Public Health Group, Dept. of Epidemiology and Public Health, University college of London, United Kingdom through the department of Community Dentistry.
