‘Excellence in education and service to humanity’- The motto of RV institutions is upheld by the Department of Periodontics when it strives towards excellence and achieves comprehensive oral health care for patients and moulds highly trained and motivated dental professionals under the dynamic leadership of Dr Suchetha A, Professor and Head of the Department.
The Department of Periodontics has a strong faculty and experienced staff members who have presented papers in several national and international conferences and have publications in national and international journals. The department offers both undergraduate and postgraduate training in Periodontics.
The infrastructure of the Department is well developed with well equipped consultation areas, patient lounge, archiving facilities and computer and telecommunication facilities. State of the art equipments including LASER are available for both patient therapy and student training.
The department has also recognized the importance of research and it is an integral part of the undergraduate and post graduate program. The Department has also undertaken and completed several clinical research projects. Above all the department lives the principle that ‘Success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.’
